Myself and two other team members from my company Underground Imagix decided to jump in and make a game for the Epic MegaJam 2021! The theme was "Running Out of Space." We spent a day or so brainstorming our core gameplay idea, another 2 days building out that game play functionality in Unreal blue prints, then another day making art assets and another two days for polish, UI, PFX and SFX work with the last 2 days spent tweaking, testing and polishing. Amazingly fun, and so proud of my team Justin (https://www.artstation.com/starbirdultra) and Kyle (https://www.artstation.com/kylebaerlocher) for makin' this crazy lil muthafucka happen! A very special shout out to our social media and marketing sorceress for keeping up our tweets and social pages, Cassandra! And finally a big shout out to the rest of the Underground Imagix crew for their support and tireless work on OTHER internal projects while we went out gallyvanting around for the 7-day jam! :P
I worked primarily on the character model and integration. Justin did some solid lifting on blueprints and environment. Kyle had the vision and developed the look and color, as well as made UI widgets and BGs! Really great stuff.
At the end of the day it could always be better, there's already stuff I want to implement and improve for v2.0...but for now, I'll take a celebration lap and pat on the back!
