Another still life study, this time the instructor arranged a group of mannequins and wrapped them in cloth and rope. The intention was to do a more complex drapery study. The central, upright figure is actually an anatomy skeleton. The entire composition is awesomely creepy and since I had just watched the Susperia remake I saw them as sort of representative of the central villains in the Three Sisters trilogy by Argento. This time I determined to used charcoal and am very pleased with the results! I could have probably pushed my values just a bit more to give a little bit more volume to the figures overall, but the drapery is crackin'!
